Project of golf course Mnich has come into its existence just next to the golf course Nová Bystřice in 2001. Project realised by Austrian architect Günther Hauser, coordinated by Roman Khaur, has been sensitively put into virginal nature of Czech Canada region. British shaper William Scott took charge of modellation, realisation of grass areas had been done by company Philipp Sportovní trávníky, a.s. For the whole project there was a usage of grass seeds Barenbrug. Interestingly, fairways were developed by by-seeding mixtures with prevalence of red fescue into the original meadow vegetation. This approach has been chosen with a respect to the ecological requirements of local authority and restricted options to distinctively cultivate local landscape. Within one year afterwards, the seeded grass almost completely replaced the original meadow vegetation and, nowadays, these areas belong to the best ones in the Czech Republic.
